X-PORT set up
12Feb07
Setting up the Lantronics X-Port was not as bad as it had seemed. The soldering and wiring took maybe 15 min, while the configuration took another 10, but it was getting the xport to spit out its info into terminal that filled in the rest of the hour. Maybe its just coordination, like juggling while standing on my head, but don’t ask me to alternate holding down two buttons with two hands. But when it works, its like a three line party with an IP address on a black background. Next, actually connecting it to a server, and the PONG TOURNAMENT.

What did you connect the TX/RX pins to?
The tx/rx pins from the xport get connected to the rx/tx pins on your usb -> serial device, either the sparkfun board or, like in the picture, the arduino mini usb.
very interesting, but I don’t agree with you
Idetrorce
How about some info on how you got it working?
