Controlling a motor

It took a little while to set up with an H-bridge and a dc motor and then, well about 2 seconds of “Its Alive!”, and then – nothing. I think my H-bridge died, and i can’t get over it….
so, how do you test an H-bridge? Motor works, as does the Arduino.
